台灣一般在學英文時, 都只學 ”停車場” 叫 parking lot
但很有人知道, 其實並非所有的 ”停車場” 都叫 parking lot 哦
parking lot 指的是室外的停車場 (如上圖)
而像下圖裡的 ”室內停車場”, 要叫 parking garage /gəˈraʒ/
他會很自然地認為在外面, 要向外走
而不會想到是地下室的室內停車場
另外, ”停車位” 的說法是 parking space 至於台灣特殊的 ”機車停車格”
則只能叫 parking spaces for scooters
