Describing Boredom in English: Ed and Ing Adjectives - Bored vs. Boring
Bored and boring are two adjectives derived from the same word. These pairs of adjectives are formed from verbs that mean 'to make someone feel...' In the case of bored and boring, they are derived from the verb 'bore.' Bore means 'to make someone feel uninterested' which has no equivalent in Chinese. Bored is the past participle (p.p.) of bore, and it means 'made to feel uninterested.' In other words, it refers to a person feeling uninterested because of someone or something. Simply put, bored means 'feeling uninterested.'
