所謂 hit bottom 或 hit rock bottom, 指的是人生陷入低潮, down 到谷底
什麼叫 ”當你跌到谷底, 只有一條路可走” 呢?
各位想像一下, 如果已經在最底部了, 當然不可能繼續再往下
所以能走的方向當然也就只有往上了
當別人諸事不順, 人生陷入最低潮時, 我們就可以安慰他說:
When you hit bottom, there’s only one way to go.
或是 When you hit bottom, the only way to go is up.
就是在幫人打氣加油, 告訴他接下來事情一定會開始好轉的, 因為這已經是最糟的狀況了
