但 ”忌日” 的說法就比較少人知道
英文中 ”忌日” 的說法是 the anniversary of someone’s death
(anniversary [͵ænəˋvɝsərɪ] 周年紀念日)
比如: Today is the anniversary of my father’s death.
如果要講是過世後第幾年的忌日, 就可以用序數
比如: Next Monday is the seventh anniversary of my father’s death.
這種用法就跟要說是某人幾歳的生日一樣
像 ”她三十歲的生日” 就是 her 30th birthday
