”流浪狗” 在英文裡叫 stray dog(s)
stray 是個形容詞, 本來是指迷路的, 走失的
但現在都用來指流浪的貓狗
口語中也會直接用 stray 當名詞來指流浪沒有主人的貓狗
比如: I think the dog is a stray.
順道提一下, 一般講為貓狗結紥, 口語中是直接用 fix 這個字, 公母都可以用
比如: Is your dog fixed? 就是問 ”你的狗結紥了嗎?” (用被動語態)
Some people think the government should pay to have stray dogs fixed.

不過比較正確的講法是, 公的動物用 neuter [ˋnjutɚ] (閹割) 這個字
