這段文字是同學在做生意時用到的句子
我們先來看一下他寫的原文:
I don't have another colors for this style. I just have this color for this style. I just have thissize for this style. We have 8 and 9 size all hrer.. Because..you buy two pairs of shoes..so I will give you some discount. so..total is 500 先來看第一句: I don't have another colors for this style.
應該改成: I don't have another color in this style.
因為 another 的意思是 "另一個", 後面一定要接單數名詞
另外 style 這個字要搭配介系詞 in
但這只是文法的層面
就日常語言使用的層面而言
其實這個意思會用: This style only comes in one color / this color. 來表達
也可說: This style is only available in one color / this color.
第二句: I just have this color for this style.
也是要把 for 改成 in
just 改成 only 也比較好
所以要改成: I only have this color in this style.
第三句還是要把 for 改成 in
第四句: We have 8 and 9 size all here. (我猜他打的 hrer 應該是 here)
不太確定他說的 all here 是指什麼 (下次請附中文哦!)
如果是 "我們這裡有八號和九號" 的意思的話
要說: We have sizes 8 and 9 here.
8 and 9 size 應該要改成 sizes 8 and 9 (注意 size 要用複數, 因為有兩個)
英文裡在說 "... 號的...(東西)" 時
都要把那個東西的名詞先講, 再接數字
比如中文裡的 "二號出口" 就是 Exit (Number) 2 而不是 two exit
但可說 the number 2 Exit (要加 the )
最後的:
Because..you buy two pairs of shoes..so I will give you some discount. so..total is 500 應改為: Because you bought / are buying two pairs of shoes, I will give you a discount.
(So) the total is 500 (dollars).
同學的原文犯了一個大忌, 就是一句話裡不可以有 because 又有 so
雖然中文裡, 我們從小到大造句都是 "因為...所以..."
但英文裡只能選其中一個用, 不能兩個都用
因為它們兩個都是連接詞
而兩個句子中間只能用一個連接詞來連接
再來是時態的問題
you buy 是現在簡單式, 指的是"平常..."
如果句子前面用 If
可以說 If you buy two pairs, I will give you a discount.


變成一種假設語氣的句型


但同學用的是 Because...

是陳述事實的一般句子
就要用恰當的時態了
以這個情境而言
客人應該是正在付錢或已經付了錢
因此要用現在進行式或過去式

discount 在英文裡是個可數名詞
如果說 some discount,. 意思會是 “ 某種折扣 ”
通常是不想講明或不清楚到底多少 , 才會這麼講
但賣東西的人是清楚知道自己給客人打了多少折扣的
而且後面的句子還說出了要算客人多少錢
所以應改為 a discount ( 給你打 ” 個 ” 折扣 ”)

最後 , 在講到總數或總價時 , 通常都要在 total 前加 the
所以是 the total 才對哦
