I’ll be damned. 字面上是「我將被詛咒」，可是究竟是什麼意思呢？
這是個在美式口語中蠻常出現的句子，但是跟詛咒一點關係也沒有
它其實是個表達驚訝的句子
類似中文裡的「真想不到」、「不會吧？！」、「見鬼了」、「要死了」等
前面常加個語助詞 Well
像圖片裡的句子：Well, I’ll be damned. Stupidity is alive and well.
意思就是說「真想不到愚蠢(的行為)還是處處可見。」
當你聽到一件難以置信、令你訝異的事時就可以用這句話
也可以把它放在你要講的事情前面
( damned 唸作 [dæmd] )
比如：
要注意的是有時候在 I’ll be damned 後面會再接 if 的子句
那個時候意思就變成「我絕對不會……」(字面上是說「如果我……就不得好死」)
