人的瀏海叫bangs或fringe
但手機的「瀏海」很特別，是用notch [nɑtʃ] 這個字
notch在這裡是指一個凹口或槽口
平常它也有做記號的刻痕的意思
take it down a notch就是「把它降一格」，指把做某事的程度降低，不要那麼…
比如有人太吵，說Take it down a notch, will you? 就是請他把音量降低
如果有人表現得太有喜感，take it down a notch就是叫此人不要表現得太好笑
top-notch則是一流，很好的意思
