但是要在 It's time ... 的後面接子句的話, 要注意這個子句會用過去簡單式
比如要說: It's time (that) you grew up. (你該長大了)
而不是 It's time (that) you grow up.
在這種句型裡其實是一種和現在事實相反的假設
因為這樣講通常是指對方現在其實 沒有這麼做
所以和 if 的句型一樣, 和現在事實相反的假設用過去式表達
It's time ... 也可以用 It's about time ... 或 It's high time ... (早該是...的時候了)
例如: It's about time (that) he told the truth.
It's high time (that) the government took care of this problem.
