”好心沒好報” 在英文裡的說法是: No good deed goes unpunished.
good deed 就是指一個人做的善事, 好事
punish 是動詞 ”處罰”, 在這裡加了 ed 後變成形容詞 ”受到處罰的”
然後又在前面加了 un 變成相反詞 ”沒有受到處罰的”
所以 No good deed goes unpunished. 字面上的意思是說 ”沒有哪件善事會不受到處罰”
”負負得正” ( No + un…) 後意思也就是 ”每件善行都會受到處罰”
表示一個人如果做好事反而都會有不好的下場
因此也就是我們中文說的 ”好心沒好報”
當你出於善意做了一件事, 結果卻被人怪罪或反而招致對自己不利的後果時
