”楊桃” 的英文名稱很可愛也很好聯想, 叫 star fruit (=starfruit)
當然是因為它的橫剖面呈現星星的形狀
不過它正式的名稱叫 carambola [͵kærəmˋbolə]
要小心的是, 有些老外也許會對楊桃過敏
老外因為在自己國家也許比較少或從未接觸過這種水果, 根本不知道自己會對它過敏
所以大家若要招待老外吃楊桃或喝楊桃汁, 最好提醒他們先試一點點就好
