decent [ˋdisnt] 這個字平常是當「正派的；像樣的」，是個形容詞
但是當別人問你 Are you decent?
是在他看不見你，但是要進去你所在的房問時問的一句話
其實他是在問你有沒有穿好能見人的衣服
免得突然衝進去看到的是身穿內衣或裸體的你
是 Are you decently dressed? 的意思
這時如果你是穿好衣服的，回答 Yes 就行
要是需要一些時間著裝，就回答 Just a minute. (等一下)
