”補眠” 的英文是 catch up on some sleep 說簡單也不是那麼簡單, 因為如果叫大家自己想, 可能會少了好幾個字
或是 ”補” 字會用得不對
基本上 catch up 就是 ”趕上”
在哪方面要趕上呢? 再用 on 來接
各位以前可能背過 catch up with… 這個片語
但它指的是 ”跟上...的腳步/進展”
比如: Mike is not doing well at school. He needs to catch up with the other students.
”補眠” 指的是在睡覺這方面補足, 所以是用 on
來造個句: After a long week at work, I really need to catch up on some sleep on the weekend.
如果你是 有很多書沒看, 很多工作沒做, 也可以說:
I have to catch up on a lot of books / work.
“catch up with 人” 也可以用來指和人聊聊近況, 敍舊
像: I ran into a high school classmate the other day.
We went to a bar to catch up with each other.
或是 I caught up with a lot of friends at Bob’s birthday party.
