常常有人要翻「罵人」時不知怎麼翻譯
其實現在有個很好用的片語：cuss out
不過因為它是來自 curse out
而 curse 在這裡不是「詛咒」，而是「罵髒話」
所以 cuss out 通常是指一連串且通常帶有髒話的「罵」
像父母罵小孩的「罵」就比較不會用 cuss out 而會用 tell … off
注意這個片語是可以拆開的片語
也就是說如果受詞是完整的名詞像 the man，那可以放兩個字中間也可以放後面
比如 cuss out the man = cuss the man out
但如果受詞是代名詞如 me, you, him 等，就只能放兩個字中間
比如 cuss me out
要講是為了什麼事則在後面加 for N/Ving
