1890年代美國禁酒令的時期，人們會開玩笑的說他們寧可爬到這種馬車上喝口水
也不願打破不喝酒的誓約
於是就有了 I’m on the water cart. 這個說法
久而久之wagon取代了cart
人們會用I’m on the (water) wagon. 來指自己戒酒了
也因此用 fall off the wagon 來指自己破了戒，又開始喝酒
